June was a pretty busy month for me. I had a few really fun jobs on and some real variety which is what I love. One of the highlights for this month was Ally and Steph's engagement party at Firhill Stadium. Ally and Steph are getting married in Cyprus next year so they wanted the opportunity for a big blow-out with family and friends beforehand. I was there for a couple of hours capturing everyone having a good time.
I was also asked to take photographs at Hamilton College's 40th Anniversary celebrations in the Hilton in Glasgow. I was drafted in at short notice to take photos at this wonderful gala dinner. I started the night taking portraits of guests as they arrived before moving on to more candid / natural images of the speakers, games and auctions. It was lovely to see so many people come out and dig deep in support of the college.
Portrait sessions have been popular this year so far as well: I really enjoy getting out and about doing these sessions on location. In June I was taking photos of Haruka in Pollok Country Park but some other examples include images of musician Robbie James Logan in woods outside Dalry and interior stylist Irene McNay of Adorn Property Services in Seamill Hydro.
Lastly for this month's update, some of my past brides and grooms have celebrated anniversaries in June - huge congratulations to Gary & Hannah, Barry & Karen and Hannah and Alan & Lauren.
That's me signing off for the month as I'm about to go for a family break before a very busy August kicks in. I hope everyone has a great summer.
